"We came for our 25th anniversary to celebrate years of love, companionship and sorrow, support and joy.  We left behind our responsibilities for everything and everyone but each other.  The peace and wonderment we found here were so great we could hardly speak or move, sometimes."

No responsibilities.  And so I spend most of my entire day in a chair on the deck listening and watching.  In the early morning hummingbirds were always present and entertaining   Barn and tree swallows left nests and found breakfast.  A juvenile and adult eagle skirted the shoreline daily and often crossed the passage. Harbor seals were plentiful (I saw 5 at once).  And a big sea lion swam south breathing loudly.  A dark eyed junco was actively feeding some giant baby bird that had evidently usurped the place of junco's real family.  A fisher passed by on the beach twice -- once with a fresh caught flatfish and a river otter ate lunch on the rock in front of the house. At low tide we found a purple sea star and a sunflower star the size of my hand and many many varieties of crabs and snail among the fucus.  The fact is that the natural panorama outside was so full of life and activity I hated to look away even for a moment. It was a sweet and sacred guilt free gift.  Thanks for this."

"Sea Dream was definitely one of our best vacations.  Slow morning wake ups, lunches on the patio, dinners in the setting sun.  Great hikes in Moran State Park, fabulous market produce and sharp knives -- it was poetry put to music.  Thanks for sharing.  We will cherish our memories and pictures."
